In addition to interactive services many hotels require channels that are not available via traditional terrestrial means; special interest, foreign language, news and financial channels are all available via satellite but to install domestic type satellite receivers in bedrooms would be impractical.

For this requirement the installation of a Multi-channel commercial Head-end, which processes the incoming satellite signals and modulates them to standard VHF or UHF frequencies is required.
